PT Lafarge Cement Indonesia (known as Semen Andalas Indonesia) a subsidiary of world leader in cement manufacturing and building material having its operation in Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau and Batam invites you to join our team to be based in Medan with lots of traveling to Aceh as:

Cement Distribution Manager (Code: CDM)
(Medan)

Responsibilities:

To lead and manage the team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the daily cement and dry mix tonnage produced by the respective Work.
To strategise, develop plans and budgets for the distribution unit to enable an efficient and effective operation of the unit in supporting the business.
To continuously maintain excellent relationship with core transporters to ensure smooth delivery to the customers at reasonable freight rates.
To coach, guide and motivate team member in order to maximise their performance and productivity as well as to train them for continuous improvement through Quality activities in order to achieve the business objectives.
To continuously review the distribution operation and where necessary, formulate plans to improve on the processes, procedures and standards in order to meet the changing environment and technology, customers’ needs and expectations and regulatory requirements.
To interact regularly and effectively with other divisions/departments particularly manufacturing and sales to ensure the distribution unit effectively supports the cement business.
Work together with the Marketing and Sales department to plan transport routes to ensure that there is maximum utilisation of available capacity of transportation.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in any major (S1 graduated from any reputable university in Indonesia)
Minimum 8 years relevant experiences in logistic or related field and having 3 years in managerial level
Strong understanding of the distribution channel and system
truck / land transport management experience
Able to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels
Strong resource management skills
Understand local culture is an advantage and will be a value added
Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Computer literate for Ms. Word, Ms. Excel and Ms. Power Point programs.
Actively speaking and writing in English.
