Our client is leading building materials group in Indonesia. To strengthen their business in Indonesia, currently they are looking for a qualified candidate to be a Purchasing Manager.

Purchasing Manager - Medan
(Sumatera Utara - Medan)

Responsibilities:

Procurement planning and execution
Provide strategic inventory management and sourcing
Implementing a simple reporting system and ensuring the production of the report in regular basis
Managing external database (Sub Contractor, Vendor, Consultant, purchasing network) and maintain the relationship with them
Monitoring and controlling the Service Level Agreement for each external parties
Effective proactive liaison with other departments
Negotiating and administration of purchasing contracts
Cost saving, budgeting, targeting and control
International procurement issues (imports, exports, legal) awareness and management.
Ensuring vendor quality and delivery schedule by periodic inspection and audit
Encountering any issues between internal and external parties
Developing, continuing improvements in the system and team/organization

Requirements:

Willing to be relocated to Medan for long term commitment and have frequent business travel
Experience in cement industries and understanding about the process/parts will be an advantage
Experience with Pick System Facility and JDEdwards will be an advantage
Bachelor Degree in any related fields, especially Business Administration, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics
Proficient in English is a must
Minimum 10 years of working experience in similar role, with min 5 years in managerial level
Excellent communication, leadership, management and negotiation skills.
